Text:                Introduction to Analysis, by Edward D. Gaughan, 5th Edition
Prerequisite:   MAT 272 and MAT 300 or instructor approval
Exams:            There will be three regular in class exams (3*100);
                         homework and quizzes (100);
                         and a comprehensive final exam (200)
Grading Policy:
                         A+ = 97 - 100%
                         A = 94 - 96%
                         A- = 90 - 93%
                         B+= 87 - 89%
                         B =  84 - 86%

                         B- = 80 - 83%
                         C+ = 77 - 79%
                         C = 74 - 76%
                         C- = 70 - 73%

                         D = 60 - 69%
                         E = 0 - 59%
Material to be covered: Chapters 1-7 will be covered
Make-up policy: No make-up exams will be given without notification.
                            Also, no late homework will be accepted for grading.



Course Description

Real numbers, completeness, sequences/series, continuity, uniform theorems, derivative, Riemann integral, pointwise/uniform convergence, Taylor's theorem. Students may not count MAT 370 and 371 towards a mathematics degree.
